Employer Spotlight: The Army and Navy Club
Jubilee Jobs values our long-term partnerships with businesses and human resource managers all over Washington, DC. This month we want to highlight one such manager, Mark Peckham, Director of Human Resources at The Army and Navy Club. Located in a historic building on Farragut Square, The Army and Navy Club is a social club for 6,000 commissioned and non-commissioned military officers. It offers fine dining, events and programs, and boutique accommodations. For over 10 years, Jubilee Jobs applicants have filled numerous positions there, such as banquet staff, kitchen staff, housekeepers, valet attendants, and front desk clerks/reception agents.
Originally from England, Mark is responsible for all human resources programs at The Army and Navy Club. Mark’s greatest strength is his thirst and drive for constant learning and development of the HR profession. As a dedicated lifelong learner, he thinks “there’s always more to learn”. With a mentor like Mark, we know that our applicants who go to work at The Army and Navy Club will acquire valuable knowledge and are in great hands. And along with hands come great feet! Before entering his career in human resources, Mark was a professional soccer player, playing for such teams as the New York Arrows and Edmonton Eagles.
Recently, Mark reached out to us again looking for another front desk agent to join David, whom he had just hired. He sent a message asking, “Got any leads? So far David is doing very well. We are all very pleased.” We are pleased too, and we look forward to sending more of our applicants to The Army and Navy Club.
Thank you, Mark, for being a loyal friend of Jubilee Jobs.
