Applicant Spotlight: Adalberto B.

Adalberto came to the United States three years ago from the Dominican Republic with his two kids. Speaking no English, he was assigned to our Job Counselor, Clary, who has helped many Spanish speaking applicants find employment through Jubilee Jobs. Adalberto worked in construction but had an accident resulting in his right leg breaking. Knowing that he had to support his family, he pushed through the difficult times. He was hired for a cleaning position at Reagan National Airport and started working two days a week. Through his dedication at work, he was given a full time work schedule.

Through our retention program, Adalberto received a $100 incentive which he says “is a blessing at the right time.” He participates in our Job Friends Dinner where we offer him additional resources to support his family. He says, “thanks to Jubilee Jobs and the programs they provide, they helped me get the support I needed to find employment.”
