Dr. Nicole Smith, Chief Economist and Research Professor at Georgetown Center for Education and Workforce

The Jubilee Jobs Benefit Committee invites you to the 26th Annual Benefit Dinner at the Katzen Arts Center, American University on May 14th 2019. We are delighted to have Dr. Nicole Smith, Research Professor and Chief Economist at the Georgetown University Center on Education and Workforce as our speaker.

Nicole Smith is a Research Professor and Chief Economist at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce where she leads the Center’s econometric and methodological work. One of her primary functions at the Center is developing a framework for restructuring long-term occupational and educational projections. This framework forms the underlying methodology for Help Wanted, Recovery, and The Future of Work, three reports that project education demand for occupations in the U.S. Economy.

She is also part of a team of economists working on a project to map, forecast, and monitor human capital development and career pathways. Her current research investigates the role of education and socioeconomic factors in intergenerational education mobility.

Dr. Smith’s studies directly reflect the challenges our applicants face in a labor market that offers fewer high-quality job opportunities with career-building work experience. We are eager to learn from her. Jubilee Jobs Achiever will also share their stories.

Please join us to celebrate our 26th Annual Benefit Dinner. Your support is significant and will help individuals build a path towards sustenance, dignity and hope!

We are deeply thankful for our Benefit corporate sponsors – LCOR, Delta Bridge, Inc.,  Bank of America, Colonial Parking, and PNC Bank.
