Summer Challenge Grant- 2010

So far this year Jubilee Jobs has placed 391 applicants in marketplace jobs, in the midst of the recession!  How do you do it, we ask the job counselors.  By jumping on every job opening, by only sending qualified and experienced applicants, and by being there, sometimes for months, with every applicant who needs, wants, and is able to work.

We’re able to do what we do, because of  compassionate support in so many ways that help to make dreams become realities, giving hope to those most in need.  This is especially valuable in these summer months of June, July, and August when we have a challenge grant.  Every $2 from an individual or faith community during this time will be matched by an additional $1 from our special donors.

Feinstein Challenge Grant

All gifts to Jubilee Jobs during the months of March and April will be matched – up to $1 million dollars!

Calling for an end to hunger in America, Alan Shawn Feinstein has generously pledged to match all donations—up to $1 million—made to non-profit agencies across the country fighting hunger.  All money raised during the months of March and April is eligible for the challenge funds.  The more we raise, the larger percentage of the $1 million dollars we will receive.  Your gift to Jubilee Jobs, helping the very poor find desperately-needed marketplace jobs to support themselves and their families, will mean even more during this drive.  Thank you so much for remembering the homeless and the hungry. We serve those in need living in the community, including the homeless, people in recovery from substance abuse, ex-offenders, recipients of public assistance, and recent immigrants. What it costs us to continue to operate:

Financial support at a glance:

$15,000 sponsors Jubilee Jobs operations for one week- Each week, Jubilee Jobs places on average 15 people into marketplace jobs.

$3,000 sponsors Jubilee Jobs operations for one business day-Each day, Jubilee Jobs places on average three people into marketplace jobs.

$976 provides one jobseeker with the Jubilee Jobs job preparation, placement and retention services-Each person represents a larger family and often two or three children.
